Maria Beatrice Deli and Monique Sasson established their new law partnership at the end of 2022. They started working together in 1993. In 2000, they embarked on different professional paths, when Monique moved to London to work at Herbert Smith. However, when Monique returned to Italy from London and New York City, their professional lives crossed again. The culmination of their collaboration is now the DeliSasson disputes boutique firm.

Having both worked in large firms for a number of years, their experience has taught them that even that setting, the reality is that clients need a tightly knit, small group of experienced lawyers who develop strategies and provide commercially practical as well as academically sound advice.  With the freedom to choose the number and type of cases to be handled, complex matters – even those entailing a large volume of documentation — can be handled effectively by a small team that remains centrally involved through all phases of a dispute.  Furthermore, as both Deli and Sasson often serve as arbitrators, the boutique size allows them to minimise the possibility of conflicts of interest.
